What Is A Life Coach
What is a Life Coach
As a life coach in Los Angeles many people ask me so … what Is a life coach and how the process of coaching works? Although there is much more, here is a brief overview of the process and setting of goals with your coach, whether that be for business or your personal life.
The 3 Spheres of Life:
All of us operate in three spheres that make up our lives. Our Professional Sphere, our Family Sphere and our Personal Life Sphere. The reason you hire a life coach is to improve the quality of one or more aspects of these spheres. You might want to attain more connection with your significant other, or to attain a profession or job that is your passion. To simply lead a more passionate and fulfilled life. Simply put;
“To enjoy how you live life and live to enjoy life.”
Although Life Coaching or Business/Executive Coaching has typically been associated with business life, your professional life is only 1/3 of the equation. There are two other spheres of your life that you can’t forget.
Olympic Athletes hire Sport coaches for mental toughness, awareness and goal achievement and it works! The Aim of the Life Coach is to help people break their negative beliefs and get past them, act more decisively, and set clear goals towards achieving what they really want out of life The same can happen for you!
Strategic Intervention Coaching
I weas trained at the RMT Institute founded by Tony Robbins and Chloe Madanes, Strategic Intervention Coaching combines Neuro Linguistic Programming techniques (NLP) with Strategic Intervention principles to resolve the whole range of human challenges in a way that redefines problems so that they can be solved quickly and easily. These Changes are QUICK AND LASTING.
A Strategic Intervention Coach navigates a variety of scenarios ranging from individual problems to those of the couple, the family, the peer group, the organization, and the larger social system. Strategic Intervention Coaching is open-ended.
How does it work?
Like any professional we have a tool bag of techniques and processes. We use these tools to assist you in defining your goals and objectives, help you define a path and hold you accountable to reach that objective. No one knows your life and what you want better than you. A life coach is your partner and will help bring out those needs and wants through a series of weekly meetings and hold you accountable for your actions. These meetings are carried out in-person, via telephone or via skype and can last from 30 minutes to an hour. During this process of Questions and Answers, We get you to open up and reveal things in some cases you have not revealed to anyone else, including yourself. We use techniques garnered from many areas such as Psychology, NLP, sociology and other sciences to determine how to help you establish your Coachable Goals the paths to reach them and how to attain these goals.
We make sure you reach the “goal line”.
A coach will help you define clear objective that include your passions, talents, values and determine obstacles in your way, help you clear them, so you become “The World’s Leading Expert On You.” This process helps you get control of your life
The Coaching process remains the same for all your goals
There are many varied and confusing Types of Life Coaching styles promoted for many varied reasons. Some Coaches try to separate themselves as specialists in certain categories or certain goals as a marketing tool. In reality, the true life coaching process remains the same no matter the goal. The process although quite complex the SI Coach needs to understand the many techniques to employ and when to employ them the process remains the same. Therefore any goals in any of the spheres of your life can be attained as the process is the same for developing the goals, and the path to attain them. As an example, business coaching would focus primarily on business type goals, but will would not be limited to business goals only. Most often the business goals become the starting point, leading into other types of coachable goals.
There are 5 conditions that must be must be met:
